IOWA CITY, Iowa ­– Sixteen days ago, any hopes the Iowa Hawkeyes had of making the NCAA Tournament seemed to have vanished. A four-point loss at home to Illinois on Feb. 18 was the team’s third straight loss, and the remaining schedule was not exactly favorable. According to ESPN Bracketologist Joe Lunardi, seven Big Ten teams are currently in the field of 68 for the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. IOWA CITY, Iowa – Another sluggish start appeared to have the Hawkeyes well on their way to a fourth straight loss, this time to the hands of the Indiana Hoosiers. The Hawkeyes had other plans.
