Interview: KRUI With The Plain White T’s

At When We Were Young 2025, fellow Chicago area natives Plain White T’s sat down with me as we discussed how the local scene has changed, their tour with We The Kings, and how Las Vegas scares us all the slightest bit. We started the conversation out by sharing a mutual love of Death Cab for Cutie:

IOWA CITY, IOWA- A winter storm pounded Iowa City Friday night and continued into Saturday morning. 70,000 seats were covered with over six inches of snow by kickoff but the grounds crew had the field ready to go for senior day and the 2015 home finale at Kinnick Stadium. The undefeated Iowa Hawkeyes (10-0) took on the Purdue Boilermakers (2-8) for a chance to clinch a spot in the Big Ten Championship game. The Hawkeyes dominated the first quarter of the game. The Iowa offense has some work to do It was a thrilling and captivating 29-28 victory for the offense in the Iowa spring game. Okay, maybe not “thrilling.” …or “captivating.” Both offenses struggled for the vast majority of the game, and a large portion of that falls on the quarterbacks. Iowa only has two, CJ Beathard and Tyler Wiegers, on scholarship and each looked shaky through large chunks of the contest on a cold, windy Saturday in Kinnick Stadium.
