Festival Preview: Chicago’s New Year Transitions, Dec. 26–Jan. 1st

Spanning 7 venues across 7 days, Transitions, the New Years Eve celebration by AURIS PRESENTS, in downtown Chicago has cultivated a lineup of the biggest names spinning records and electronica today. From December 26 – January 1st, Chicagoland will be ablaze as it welcomes the likes of 70 artists and a 21-hour marathon to ring in the new year at Outset. Here are the highlights coming this week to Chicago.

Evander Kane Traded to Buffalo

Evander Kane is set to move from the Winnipeg Jets to the Buffalo Sabres after the teams agreed to a trade Wednesday morning.  The Jets will trade Kane, defenseman Zach Bogosian, and goalie prospect Jason Kasdorf to the Sabres in return for defenseman Tyler Myers, winger Drew Stafford, prospects Joel Armia and Brendan Lemieux, and a first round pick. The first round pick is expected to be either that of St.Louis or the New York Islanders first round picks, whichever pick is lower.  Buffalo owns both teams first round picks. Iginla Goes To Boston… SIKE!

Calgary Flames captain, Jarome Iginla, has been quite the name in trade talk around the NHL. With many teams shopping around before the trade deadline, Iginla has been a major point of interest for several teams. Two of these organizations being the powerhouse teams the Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins. Wednesday night early predictions were made that Iginla would go to the Boston Bruins.
