The NBA season has started and it’s quite an interesting one at that. Many fans were starting to speculate how stale the league was getting, with the never-ending Finals rivalry between the Warriors and the Cavs. Another concern prior to this season was if or if not the future of the league was in good hands. With standout young guys in Giannis Antetokounmpo, Karl Anthony-Towns, and Ben Simmons, I think it is safe to say that the future of the league looks pretty bright. Into the Darkness You know what doesn’t look too bright in the season, though? As the … Continued

With a little more than half of the NBA season in the books, we are already seeing talks about where Carmelo Anthony will play next season. As we already know, he will most likely test the free agent market. Now, it just a matter of where will he go. It’s been speculated that Anthony might actually stay in New York with the Knicks, or he might go to Los Angeles and team up with Kobe and the Lakers, or even find his way to Chicago and team up with Derrick Rose and the Bulls. We could see Anthony stating the … Continued
The long awaited return of Derrick Rose was finally upon us, and it seemed as if he was finally starting to get back into his groove. After a rough first 10 games back, Rose was leading the Bulls with 20 points, five rebounds and three assists with 3:02 left in the third quarter against the Portland Trailblazers. On what seemed to be a very routine play, Rose planted and turned to run up the court to get back on defense and fell to the court. Rose was helped off and put no pressure on his right leg. We have since … Continued
The most prestigious of the annual individual player awards in the NBA is, without question, the Most Valuable Player award. This season’s crop of candidates for the Maurice Podoloff MVP trophy include the likes of LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Chris Paul, to name a few. However, I’m more intrigued by the outcome of another annual award, the Comeback Player of the Year. After a season (and postseason) full of devastating long-term injuries to star players throughout the league, the 2013-2014 Comeback Player of the Year race will quite possibly be more thrilling than the MVP battle. Here are some … Continued
What is so wrong with dunking in pre-game warm-ups? Normally that would not be a problem because almost everyone does it. Just because three times MVP LeBron James does it the most, it causes a huge controversy. All James wants to do is have fun but everyone just wants to take all the fun away from him. The reason why this is such a huge deal is because of the fact that LeBron James would not participate in the NBA Sprite Slam Dunk Contest. In a past couple of years, everybody has been complaining on how bad the Slam Dunk … Continued
It’s not looking so good for the Chicago Bulls right now. In the last ten games the Bulls have gone 3-7 and it has taken a toll on their playoff position. The Bulls have lost two straight and are just 2-3 since the break. Overall, the month of February has been a disaster for Chicago. The Bulls are just 4-8 In the month of February with one game left. This included two 20-point thrashings, one by the Heat and the other by the Thunder. The Bulls were at the top of the Eastern Conference but have since dropped down to the … Continued
