IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Hawkeyes and the Pirates of Seton Hall went down to the wire last night in a game that featured 11 lead changes, but it was the Pirates that would escape Iowa City with a 91-83 victory in this Gavitt Games matchup. The new-look Hawkeyes (2-1) faced their toughest test as the reigning Big East champions came to Carver-Hawkeye Arena, and the team struggled with turnovers against a bigger, quicker opponent. The Pirates (3-0) managed to record 21 points off of 17 Hawkeye turnovers. Every Hawkeye that took the floor had at least one turnover with … Continued

Keith Duncan’s 33-yard field goal as time expired lifted Iowa to a thrilling 14-13 upset victory over #3 Michigan (9-1, 6-1) as the Iowa faithful stormed the field to celebrate the team’s first home win over a ranked opponent since they beat Michigan 37-6 in 2010. “It was an incredible feeling kicking that in front of 70,000 fans,” said the freshman kicker following his first career game-winner. … Continued

STATE COLLEGE, Pa— Well I had dibs on writing the article about the inspiring Iowa comeback but unfortunately I have to write this one instead. I’ll start by sharing what Kirk Ferentz had to say after the game. “There wasn’t much good out there tonight,” said Ferentz. That seems like an understatement at this point. The Iowa defense had a simple yet challenging task here tonight. Don’t let Saquon Barkley outside and limit the yards after contact. The Hawkeye defense failed miserably with both of these tasks Saturday night inside Beaver Stadium. Barkley entered the game as the Big Ten’s … Continued

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – We’re eight weeks into the Iowa Hawkeyes (5-3, 3-2) football season. Two of their three losses were upsets. They no longer control their own destiny to the Big Ten Championship game, entering the season as the favorite out of the Big Ten West division. However, this season still has an opportunity for it to not go into the books as a failure.   If the Hawkeyes want to turn their season around, it starts in head coach Kirk Ferentz’s favorite month: November. Ferentz, who’s 8-4 all-time against Penn State, prides himself on his teams playing their … Continued
