The 2017 edition of the playoffs meshes the usual suspects with schools who have waited a long time for a return trip to the playoffs. Iowa City – Iowa football has faltered twice this season. Once to a Penn State team with arguably the most dynamic player in college football. The other, at the hands of an improving Michigan State team. One came at home, the other in East Lansing.
