Iowa Wraps the Bowtie on 2025 with Bowl Win Over Vanderbilt

No. 23 Iowa closed the 2025 season with a statement win, knocking off No. 14 Vanderbilt in the ReliaQuest Bowl behind a clutch performance from senior quarterback Mark Gronowski. The victory snapped Iowa’s long skid against ranked opponents and served as a fitting sendoff for a senior class that chose loyalty and one last ride together.

In the three seasons since Theo Epstein took over as Cubs president, the Cubs have gone a combined 200-286, good for a .412 winning percentage.  However, this was all part of a master plan to completely revamp the Cubs minor league system and eventually make a big splash in free agency, and in the offseason following the 2014 season, the Cubs made sure they let the rest of the MLB know that it was ready to make an impact.  Once Joe Maddon opted out of the final year of his contract with the Tampa Bay Rays, Chicago quickly picked him … Continued

CHICAGO — It was an ugly start, and even uglier finish as the fifth-seeded Iowa Hawkeyes failed to find any sort of consistency and were upset by thirteenth-seeded Penn State 67-58 on Thursday afternoon at the United Center in the second round of the Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament. I think my first handful of Halloweens, after being dressed against my will as matching pumpkins with my older brother, I suited up as Nomar Garciaparra or Pedro Martinez. HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill.– The second-seeded Iowa Hawkeyes completed a three-game season sweep of Nebraska with a 74-65 win over the seventh-seeded Cornhuskers Friday night in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Women’s basketball tournament. The Hawkeyes (25-6) got off to a hot start hitting their first four shots from the field to take a 9-2 lead just two minutes into the game.
