The third edition of Minnesota Yacht Club has wrapped was a resounding success. Through sweltering temperatures, heat lightning, and rain drops, none of it phased the over 35,000 fans who came each day to Harriet Regional Park. This week the University of Mississippi’s men’s basketball team was eliminated from the NCAA men’s basketball tournament in the round of 32.  That fact is nothing remarkable.  What is remarkable; however, is the dichotomy that exists in the state regarding the symbols used by the university and in the state flag and what that dichotomy tells us about our society.
