At When We Were Young 2025, fellow Chicago area natives Plain White T’s sat down with me as we discussed how the local scene has changed, their tour with We The Kings, and how Las Vegas scares us all the slightest bit. The fifth-seeded Iowa Hawkeyes will take on thirteenth-seeded Penn State in the second round of the Big Ten Men’s basketball tournament on Thursday afternoon at the United Center. This, following the Nittany Lion’s first round 68-65 victory over the twelfth-seeded Nebraska Cornhuskers on Wednesday afternoon, behind 26 points from D.J. Newbill. Wherever there are fanatic sports fans, there is major criticism of the coaching. Although the criticism tends to be fair at times and certainly unfair at others, it is always present. The University of Iowa is no exception. The absence of professional sports teams and presence of a major Big Ten school brings intense and loyal fans.
