Michael Knowles and a Case Study of Tolerating Intolerance

The student group Young Americans for Freedom once again were allowed by the university to host another transphobic speaker at the Iowa Memorial Union. The lecture was met with protests outside by students and those in the Iowa City community who showed up to support trans people.

Opportunity… that is something that is hard to come by in the sports journalism world, but it is something that I have gotten as a member of the KRUI Sports Staff. Every year when breaking down prospects for the NFL draft, there are certain prospects which I do not understand why they are ranked so high. Here are three players to be cautious about before drafting. 3. Ryan Nassib Nassib was a very efficient passer in his time at Syracuse. He racked up over 9,000 passing yards in his college career. Nassib seems to be a smart quarterback who gets through his progressions effectively. He posses intangibles that will translate to the next level. However, Nassib has a few mechanical issues. My how things have changed. Four weeks ago, Hawkeye fans were down. The Hawks suffered, arguably, the worst loss in the Ferentz era after falling 32-31 to Central Michigan. The Hawkeyes season looked about as hopeless as a snowball in hell. But the Hawkeyes really don’t make sense do they?
