Through sweltering temperatures, heat lightning, and rain drops, none of it phased the over 35,000 fans who came each day to Harriet Regional Park. Tampa, FL—- Well that didn’t go according to plan. Thousands of you brave Iowa fans traveled down to Tampa in hopes of seeing the Hawkeyes continue their hot streak. Unfortunately, the 2017 Outback Bowl resembled last year’s Rose Bowl where the Stanford Cardinals overwhelmed Iowa by a score of 45-16. I know it’s not what you had hoped for and it’s certainly easy to pick out the negatives by pointing the finger at the coaching staff and players. IOWA CITY, IA—The Hawkeyes basketball team kicked off family weekend the way they were supposed to, with a win over the Kennesaw State Owls by the score of 91-74. It was all Iowa from the get-go, they began the game with a 9-0 run and never looked back. As expected Peter Jok was the centerpiece for the Iowa offence and defense. He lead both teams in scoring with 27 points on 11-19 shooting. STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — Coming off of a much needed bye-week, the Hawkeyes are looking to get their sixth win of the season, tonight, and become bowl eligible. But it won’t be easy.
