IOWA CITY, Iowa – It’s almost time for March Madness, but for some teams, the madness has already begun. According to ESPN Bracketologist Joe Lunardi, seven Big Ten teams are currently in the field of 68 for the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. IOWA CITY, Iowa – A powerful start for the Hawkeyes in their surprise home opener began to show promise for a young Hawkeyes team. The game started off strong for the Hawkeyes as they began the game off with a bang. After a single by Iowa senior Mason McCoy, two wild pitches, and two walks, the Hawkeyes quickly found themselves with bases loaded for third baseman Matt Hoeg. IOWA CITY, Iowa – Another sluggish start appeared to have the Hawkeyes well on their way to a fourth straight loss, this time to the hands of the Indiana Hoosiers. The Hawkeyes had other plans. After falling behind by as many as 13 in the first half, the Hawkeyes rallied to force overtime and held on to beat Indiana 96-90. It was a total team effort for the Hawkeyes in this one.
