The Iowa men’s and women’s basketball teams will make their first public appearance of the season on Oct. 19 in the Black and Gold Blowout, which will take place in Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The event begins at 8 p.m.; doors open at 7 p.m. More details on the season-opening appearance were released Wednesday by the UI Athletics Department.
