Show Preview: Iowa City Song Project at the Englert Theatre, The Mill, & more!

Want a great local collaboration in your CD collection? Look no further as the “Iowa City Song Project” will be released November 6. For over a year, local bands and artists have been commissioned by the Englert Theater to write songs about personal experiences or feelings about Iowa City. And with a broad range from folk-rock (Greg Brown) to progressive (Christopher the Conquered) to country (Milk and Eggs), there’s a little something for everyone.

Released through Maximum Ames, the album will be available 2xLP, CD and digital format. And if pre-ordered on LP or CD, you will get free access to the release show at the Englert Theater, November 2.

But the festivities do not stop there. Not only will there be the Englert Theatre show on November 2, but also another release show at The Mill November 3, as well as a release brunch at the Motley Cow with music provided by Milk and Eggs and The Feralings. It’s sure to be a long and fantastic weekend!
