The Michigan Wolverines blew out the Iowa Hawkeyes men’s basketball team 95-67 in Ann Arbor on Sunday, but one positive to take from it was the play from Gabriel Olaseni. He played 14 minutes and racked up 8 points, 2 rebounds and 1 block in the second Big Ten game for the Hawkeyes. Those stats may not jump off the page, but compared to the 5 minutes and 1.4 points per game he averaged last year it’s a progression that is very welcome and needed depth at the center position. Saturday Games: Purdue @ MSU Purdue is coming off of a home victory against No. 11 Illinois this week after a terrific performance from Terone Johnson who led the Boilermakers in points, rebounds and assists.  They’ll need another great performance from him to even have a chance against a good Michigan State team. I think the Hawkeyes cleared up any doubt that people had about their 11-2 start to the season, unfortunately for them, it came in a loss to nationally ranked Indiana, 69-65. The young Hawkeyes appeared ready for the #5 ranked Hoosiers right from the opening tip as Adam Woodbury shut down Cody Zeller, a potential Player of the Year candidate in the NCAA, on the first two possessions of the game.  Woodbury seemed to be a rock on the defensive end early in the game, however it was a different story on the offensive side.  He missed 2 shots from … Continued
