Interview: KRUI With The Plain White T’s

At When We Were Young 2025, fellow Chicago area natives Plain White T’s sat down with me as we discussed how the local scene has changed, their tour with We The Kings, and how Las Vegas scares us all the slightest bit. We started the conversation out by sharing a mutual love of Death Cab for Cutie:

After a long winter, with hopefully only a few more weeks of cold weather, Major League Baseball is beginning. Pitchers and catchers report first, followed by position players. Namely, Chicago Cubs pitchers and catchers report February 13, and position players report on the 18th. Just when you thought it was going to end, it turns out the annual jingles, clichéd press conference and talking heads ranting over the teams battling in … Continued

The full trade included the Toronto Raptors sending Rudy Gay, Aaron Gray and Quincy Acy to Sacramento in exchange for John Salmons, Greivis Vasquez, Patrick Patterson, and Chuck Hayes. This is the second deal the Kings have made so far this season to improve their team. Early on in the season the Kings acquired former number two pick … Continued

A season with so much promise, so many expectations, is out the window with one turn up the court. Bulls fans have seen this story before, and they are unfortunately going to get a sequel. It is amazing how one player can make such a difference in the game of basketball, but that is just the nature of the game. This can be a positive aspect, such as adding LeBron James to the Miami Heat, totally changing the look of their franchise. Or it can be a negative aspect because a franchise is relying so heavily on one player, that … Continued
