IOWA CITY, Ia. – Coming off a disappointing collapse in a road defeat to Virginia Tech in the ACC–Big Ten Challenge, the Iowa Hawkeyes were looking to establish themselves as Big Ten conference play opened against Penn State on Saturday. The season is among us, and it is going to be an incredibly successful one for the Hawkeyes. Carver-Hawkeye Arena hosted three, dual meets on November 17, 2017, putting the team in a winning momentum. They defeated Iowa Central Community College, University at Buffalo, and North Dakota State University: 48-0, 33-6, and 38-6. Last Friday, the Iowa Hawkeyes defeated Rider University, 35-6.
