The third edition of Minnesota Yacht Club has wrapped was a resounding success. Through sweltering temperatures, heat lightning, and rain drops, none of it phased the over 35,000 fans who came each day to Harriet Regional Park. With two weeks left in the NFL regular season, playoff talk is heating up. Right now, I believe there are five teams currently projected to be in the NFC playoffs and three teams projected to be in the AFC playoffs that have a real shot at winning it all. Those teams are the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Washington Redskins, Green Bay Packers, Houston Texans, Denver Broncos, and New England Patriots. At the annual NFL draft this past April, the Jacksonville Jaguars shockingly selected punter Bryan Anger from Cal. This prompted NFL Network analyst Rich Eisen to seemingly mock the selection – though he has since gone on record saying he liked the selection – and, memorably, declared Bryan Anger a weapon and said “punters are people, too!” Jokingly or not, those words may be the proper way to describe Anger.
