It’s about time we had a Track of the Week again, so here we go! This summer hit single is gaining momentum on alternative radio, and with good reason. The track is called “Chocolate”, (the video is posted below), by The 1975. The alternative English group signed with UK based Indie label, Dirty Hit, in January of 2012. With their transcontinental musical crossover, expect to hear more from The 1975 in the future. If you like what you hear, their new EP, “IV” is out now. Buy it in CD or vinyl form here.

Forming in 2006, Julia and Angus Stone are a brother-sister duo from Australia. The two write separately and then go on to collaborate for creating harmonies and structure. Angus is noted to have more of a Paul Simon or Damien Rice sounding voice where as Julia has a soft, lullaby-esque sound to her that’s utterly captivating. The duos sound is that of folk-blues with a twinge of acoustic and pop. They have released two studio albums as a duo as well have a total of four solo albums (two each).
