Six Hawkeyes register double figures for McCaffery’s 400th win IOWA CITY, Iowa – You’d be hard pressed to find one individual, one aspect, or one play that changed the course of Tuesday night’s game. Both Iowa and Minnesota have been reeling this season. One of these teams needed to come away with a win. The injury-laden Gophers hoped they were in line for a dire victory. IOWA CITY, Iowa – It’s almost time for March Madness, but for some teams, the madness has already begun. According to ESPN Bracketologist Joe Lunardi, seven Big Ten teams are currently in the field of 68 for the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. That is second only to the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) who boasts ten as of Feb. 23. For much of the season, the Big Ten has not been given a whole lot of national respect. The Hawkeye softball team made its final long road trip of the year over Spring Break out to Louisville, KY before returning for their home opener this past weekend.  After rainy weather cancelled the Hawkeyes’ first two games, the Hawkeyes padded their win column but unfortunately weren’t able to keep that momentum going through the weekend.
