Hawkeyes shooting woes continue against Iowa State. By Mark Freie (@markfreie) IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Iowa State Cyclones (7-1) saw five different players reach double-digit scoring totals in their 90-75 win over the Iowa Hawkeyes (8-3) on Friday night. Cyclone junior Naz Long led all scorers for the Cyclones with 21 points including five 3-point shots. Manning Manhandles the Ravens

Thursday, September 5th marked the return of the NFL season. The Denver Broncos hosted the Baltimore Ravens at Sports Authority Field. The end result of the game may not have been what everyone was expecting. The Broncos’ quarterback, Peyton Manning, had an amazing season opener. After the first half the Broncos never looked back as Manning led them to a 49-27 victory over the Ravens. After Wednesday night’s victory against the Edmonton Oilers, the Chicago Blackhawks have clinched this year’s Presidents’ Trophy. The Presidents’ Trophy is awarded to the team with the most points, and hence the best team of the regular season. Coming into the 2012-2013 season the Celtics had high hopes of a deep playoff run despite losing three point specialist guard Ray Allen, who left in the offseason for the defending champions Miami Heat. The Iowa volleyball team came into Saturday’s game with Indiana looking to snap a nine game losing streak. The Hoosiers also were fighting a losing streak, entering Iowa City on a two-matck skid. It was the Indiana streak that came to an end, as the Hoosiers topped the Hawkeyes, 25-21, 25-23, 25-16. The Hawkeyes took a 3-1 lead in an opening set that would tip back and forth throughout.
