The third edition of Minnesota Yacht Club has wrapped was a resounding success. Through sweltering temperatures, heat lightning, and rain drops, none of it phased the over 35,000 fans who came each day to Harriet Regional Park. With the new college football playoff set to debut this winter, teams around the country are beginning to schedule tougher non-conference opponents to coincide with their grueling conference slates. After all, victories in conference games will get you in the discussion for one of the four vaunted spots in the new playoff bracket. Victories in the non-conference slate will gain admittance.
