The “Duck” Hunt for Playoffs Falls Short

In a rain-soaked showdown at Kinnick Stadium, Iowa’s playoff hopes slipped away as Oregon edged the Hawkeyes 18-16 on a last-second field goal. Despite a thrilling 93-yard touchdown drive led by Mark Gronowski, the Ducks’ steady ground game and clutch kicking sealed Iowa’s heartbreak.

The men of the Iowa Football Team were not the only Hawkeyes take on a Big 10 foe on Saturday. The Iowa Volleyball team took on the #24th ranked Michigan State Spartans Saturday night on Mediacom Court in Carver-Hawkeye Arena. After losing in 3 sets to Michigan the night before, the Hawkeyes were looking to get back on track in the Big 10 versus the Spartans. The Iowa Hawkeye volleyball team was looking to change momentum in their Big Ten home opener last night against Michigan.
