The first half wasn’t exactly the prettiest thing anybody watching the Iowa-Central Michigan game on Monday night at Carver Hawkeye Arena had seen. The Hawkeyes struggled to score in the first half, shooting only 35 percent from the field and 20 percent from behind the arc. A Conversation Between Artists: Ambrose Akinmusire and PUBLIQuartet, Friday of Stop/Time Festival
After listening to a lot of jazz over the past week, culminating in an amazing performance by renowned trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire and the PUBLIQuartet last Friday at the Stop/Time Festival presented by Hancher Auditorium, I’ve come to the conclusion that most jazz isn’t meant for an audience at all.
