The parents of modern underground music, Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth, visited the KRUI Mission Creek Artist Lounge on Thursday, March 31. KRUI staffers Drew Ingersoll, Max Johnson, and Kendall McCabe teamed up with professor Kembrew McLeod to conduct the interview, which covered the pair’s extensive creative outputs in music, art, writing, and film.
After the interview, Gordon and Moore spoke on a panel with McLeod about art, music, and their career. Then, Gordon and Moore performed an improvisational noise set at The Mill with drummer Chris Corsano under the moniker Mirror/Dash.
