Interview: Set Your Goals at When We Were Young

I sat down with Jordan Brown and Matt Wilson of Set Your Goals while at When We Were Young Festival. The California natives made their highly anticipated homecoming this past February, playing their first gig in 6 years. We spoke about their return to live performances, whats next for Set Your Goals, and how good “One Battle After Another” is.

For the past three years, I’ve had the privilege of traveling west to the Martian land of Arizona to attend Spring Training for my beloved Chicago Cubs. No matter the final standings from 2012, Spring Training is a magical time for every team. Previous victories and defeats are washed away, and for a few brief weeks, each organization is hopeful about the prospect of the new season. By Nick Szafranski I can’t explain the feeling I have after this Chicago White Sox collapse. The feeling is not one of depression, or one of overwhelming disappointment. It’s not one of searing anger or complete bewilderment either. It should be though right? The White Sox transformation from a seemingly postseason-bound squad to irrelevance was rapid, and mostly unforeseen.
