During the new Stop/Time Festival on April 4th, I had the pleasure of attending a reading by acclaimed poet Danez Smith at the Englert Theatre.

After listening to a lot of jazz over the past week, culminating in an amazing performance by renowned trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire and the PUBLIQuartet last Friday at the Stop/Time Festival presented by Hancher Auditorium, I’ve come to the conclusion that most jazz isn’t meant for an audience at all.
James Morris entered the season as a senior team captain. He showed why Saturday afternoon at Kinnick Stadium. Morris is on the Bednarik and Butkus watch list, along with many possible Big Ten honors to come. He had a critical fumble recovery when Northwestern was driving inside Iowa’s 40. He kept coming with constant pressure on the QB, illustrated by his two sacks in Saturday’s game. After his his career at Iowa ends, he’ll be talked about with some of the great linebackers like Tippett, Station, and Hodge. He will also have the chance to play on Sunday along … Continued
