Amidst 2025’s exciting alternative rock scene, Irish trio NewDad released their second studio album on September 19, Altar. Expanding on punk and soft rock elements from their first studio album Madra, the band also pulls from shoegaze with the explosive, distorted guitars and airy vocals that build the new record’s atmosphere.

We are less than 24 hours removed from the NCAA tournament bracket reveal, which means every college basketball fan in America is searching for all the right picks. Video games in the recent age have had a very small number of companies control the entire sports market. EA Sports and 2K Sports are juggernauts in their own rights. But there was once a company that made games that were simple, fun and uber-competitive: Humongous Entertainment. They made “Pajama Sam” and “Putt-Putt” as well as many other franchises. However, the one franchise HE is widely known for is their “Backyard” sports editions. Baseball, Football, Basketball. All sorts of sports full of kids that are short and from port to port.            With the Oscars tomorrow, I thought it was an appropriate time for me to release my top five all-time favorite sports movies which in case you want to be part of, just click to see how you can become an actress in Orlando. Despite those two wins, the Bulls find themselves 7th in the conference.         Considering the hype this team had going into the season, for many Bulls fans, this is a disappointment. Personally, I am not as shocked as many people are; when the Bulls went all out and signed a washed up Dwayne Wade and an injury … Continued

IOWA CITY, IA—Last night the unranked Iowa Hawkeyes (6-4, 4-3) took down the undefeated #3 ranked Michigan Wolverines (9-1, 6-1) on a Keith Duncan game winning field goal. Duncan’s kick sent Kinnick Field into a frenzy; the players piled on Duncan, and the 70,000 fans in attendance were right behind them. Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz said about the moment, “To have 70,000 of our best friends with us, that was fantastic.” It was a great night for the Iowa Hawkeyes, and a fantastic night for one Hawkeye in particular, Akrum Wadley. The junior has often been plagued with ball security … Continued

IOWA CITY, IA—The Hawkeyes basketball team kicked off family weekend the way they were supposed to, with a win over the Kennesaw State Owls by the score of 91-74. It was all Iowa from the get-go, they began the game with a 9-0 run and never looked back. As expected Peter Jok was the centerpiece for the Iowa offence and defense. He lead both teams in scoring with 27 points on 11-19 shooting. Jok described this as only a decent game for him, “I’m trying to get 35+, that’s a good game for me.” In order for the Hawkeyes to … Continued
