No. 23 Iowa closed the 2025 season with a statement win, knocking off No. 14 Vanderbilt in the ReliaQuest Bowl behind a clutch performance from senior quarterback Mark Gronowski. The victory snapped Iowa’s long skid against ranked opponents and served as a fitting sendoff for a senior class that chose loyalty and one last ride together.

Jake Duzey is a junior Tight End at Iowa from Michigan who stands 6’4 and weights 245. He has pretty good speed for a route running TE. His Freshman year his role was very small behind C.J. After a long winter, with hopefully only a few more weeks of cold weather, Major League Baseball is beginning. Pitchers and catchers report first, followed by position players. Namely, Chicago Cubs pitchers and catchers report February 13, and position players report on the 18th. One of the biggest things of spring training is seeing potential prospects that may make the roster out of spring training, or even get called up during the year. As most of the State of Iowa knows by now, Iowa and Iowa State men’s basketball teams will face off December 13th on ESPNU. An interesting tidbit is that the dorms in Iowa City don’t actually get ESPNU, so I’d make plans accordingly to see this can’t miss game. Below is a break down of the teams and looking forward. James Morris entered the season as a senior team captain. He showed why Saturday afternoon at Kinnick Stadium. Morris is on the Bednarik and Butkus watch list, along with many possible Big Ten honors to come. He had a critical fumble recovery when Northwestern was driving inside Iowa’s 40. He kept coming with constant pressure on the QB, illustrated by his two sacks in Saturday’s game.
