Max Weinberg just doesn’t quit. Personally, if I became drummer of the E Street Band, I would call it a day and rest on my laurels. If I appeared on some of the best records of the past thirty years, my first thought wouldn’t be to go on to assemble one of the best bands on late night television. And if I did all of that, I certainly wouldn’t want to jump right into making an entirely new band, playing classics from Buddy Rich and swing versions of Springsteen songs.
Thankfully, Mr. Weinberg has it covered. And just listen to his voice! He’s nearing sixty, and he’s still got boatloads of energy. Mark this down as one of my favorite interviews at KRUI.
