The Iowa women’s basketball team got hosed this past weekend. The Hawkeyes flew about 1500 miles to Spokane for their first round matchup in the NCAA Tournament. Lisa Bluder’s squad, the No. 6 seed, faced off against Gonzaga, the No. 11 seed.
The only problem is Gonzaga had a better overall record. Oh yeah, and the game was played in the Bulldogs home venue in front of 6,000 pro-Gonzaga fans.
