KRUI is Iowa City’s premiere source for the latest in independent and local music. We also have an extensive library of older indie, pop, rock, electronic, hip hop, jazz, folk… you name it, it’s represented. Along with this prodigious selection of music, we also feature many specialty shows that focus on specific genres and eras.

To submit music for airplay, just send it to KRUI at the email address below. Because we are currently operating remotely, we advise against sending physical media at this time:

  • – Send us a little information. We don’t need much – just a little info explaining who you are and where you came from. This is particularly applicable to bands who are trying to break into college radio without the help of a promotion company. A little info can mean a lot.
  • – Please include a track list and make sure to note which tracks contain swearing/obscenities. That will help us know if/when we can play your music.

Unfortunately, media submitted to us cannot be returned (due to shipping costs). For more information, you can contact the Music Director using the information below.

Due to the large volume of email we receive, we cannot guarantee a response to every submission. Thank you for understanding.
