On Selection Monday, the path was made clear for the Louisville Cardinals: two wins in the NCAA Tournament would send the Cardinals home to play the Regional rounds of the 2014 NCAA Tournament at the KFC Yum! Center. The first part of that path was completed Sunday evening, as the third-seeded Cardinals (31-4) blew past No. 14 Idaho  (25-9) 88-42 in an NCAA Tournament First Round game at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Even after losing to the lowly Northwestern Wildcats in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday night, many of the so-called analysts had Iowa safely in the tournament. Fast forward to Sunday. The New York Knicks have been a train wreck so far in the 2013-2014 NBA season. The Knickerbockers flopped to begin the year, opening 6-16 and falling to 21-40 last week. They botched the trade deadline by failing to unload Iman Shumpert after openly shopping him. They have treated head coach Mike Woodson like the guy at a company that everyone around the organization knows is underperforming, and the manager just hasn’t gotten around to firing yet.
