By Kif Richmann Mallory Husz committed to play volleyball at Iowa under Cindy Fredrick. When Fredrick was released from the program, it sent Mallory’s life careening. [audio:http://krui.fm/assets/sports//Huszfinal.MP3] The Iowa women’s volleyball team is now getting set for spring competition, and Mallory, now a senior, will be one of five returning starters. Although Iowa finished 7-21 in 2010, the Hawkeyes expect big gains led by Husz and other experienced leaders.

On Campus: Hawkeye men’s tennis hosts Ohio State on Friday. Since mid-February, the Hawkeye men have won 5 of the last seven matches.
