Mallory Husz committed to play volleyball at Iowa under Cindy Fredrick. When Fredrick was released from the program, it sent Mallory’s life careening.

The Iowa women’s volleyball team is now getting set for spring competition, and Mallory, now a senior, will be one of five returning starters. Although Iowa finished 7-21 in 2010, the Hawkeyes expect big gains led by Husz and other experienced leaders.
