On Sunday we posted our thoughts about the Iowa spring game. The offense won the contest 61-37. Here are the unofficial stats from the game.
Stats MVP: Cody Sokol 15-20,185 yds 1TD
We wrote before that Sokol was actually the third best quarterback, but by stats you can see he completed 75% of his throws, for the most yards of any of the three and one of two touchdowns through the air on the day. This race probably is still a three horse race heading into August.
Stats anti-MVP: Damon Bullock, 9 att 0 yds, 1 catch, -2 yds
It was a rough day for Bullock who is coming off the injury bug last season. Bullock stated after practice that he’s been primarily with the receivers at practice, so we’ll see how that turns out, especially with the outbreak of Jordan Canzeri and Mike Malloy.
