The University of Iowa Field Hockey Team has seeded 5th in the Big Ten tournament that begins Thursday in Columbus, Ohio. They will be facing (12-7) Michigan in the first round at 9 am.
The Hawkeyes (11-7) (2-4) ended strong offensively, leading the conference with 62 goals scored and 3.44 goals per game, sophomore Natalie Cafone leads the team in goals, with 19. They look to ride that offensive momentum and repeat recent history, as the Hawkeyes have won the Big Ten tournament 3 times in the last ten years. Overall, they have a 27-15 record in the Tournament.
The Hawkeyes open the tournament against the Wolverines at 9 am Thursday on the Big Ten Network, and look to play deep into the Big Ten and NCAA tournament.
