Manchester United Football Club is having a successful season with a motivated team. The team is located out of Manchester, England. In the past Manchester United has been a successful team, but this year they seem to be soaring above the other teams.
Their last game was against Arsenal on November 3, where Manchester United came out on top with a 2-1 victory. The two goals were scored by Robin Van Persie and Patrice Evra. Their coach, Sir Alex Ferguson, is said to be one of the greatest coaches of his time in the game of soccer.
Manchester United’s next game is on November 10 against Aston Villa. According to avid Manchester United supporter Joe Stein, the team will have no problem beating Aston Villa, as they are ranked in 17th place and have had a rough couple of years trying to improve their team. Also, Stein thinks that United’s goalie, David De Gea, has improved immensely from last season. Coming on the team last year at only 19 years old, the young man has matured and been a large asset to this year’s victories.
Manchester United’s tough competition for this year will be Chelsea, who are currently in second place, and Manchester City — Manchester United’s biggest rivals — that are currently in a close second to United’s current first place standing.
All of Manchester United’s home games are located at their stadium, Old Trafford, otherwise known as “Theatre of Dreams”. The maximum capacity in the stadium is a massive 75,765. With several tournaments coming up, these games will be must see events that you can catch on television.
