The Role Call’s Self-Titled Debut EP Cover
You may have not heard of the Minnesota based, indie pop band The Role Call yet, but it’s only a matter of time before they’re on your radar.

As I waited in the cold outside The Rave in Milwaukee last weekend for a concert, I met the band and listened to a sample of their music. I instantly gravitated toward their fresh alternative pop sound.

“Find Your Way” is my pick for track of the week, because it’s a song we all can relate to, and enjoy while doing it. The song is about a troubled relationship, and the confusion that that involves.

Singer and songwriter of The Role Call, Steven Zerwas, told me a little about this acoustic ballad, “I wrote it because like all the music I’ve written in my life,  it was something that had been currently happening in my life and as soon as I heard the instrumental I knew exactly what I wanted to say. . . I wrote this song because I didn’t really know what to say to her anymore, so I decided to sing it instead.”

Their self-titled EP with songs produced by Pat Brown (Sing It Loud) and Jordan Schmidt (All Time Low, Motion City Soundtrack), was released May 29th and is available now on iTunes or you can pick up the real thing here.
