Mickey Hart, who is best known for his three decades as a drummer for The Grateful Dead, is bringing his psychedelic blend of world music, rock ‘n’ roll, and expert percussion stylings to The Englert Theatre on August 22nd. Mickey Hart, who is a member of both the Percussive Arts Society Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Grateful Dead, released Mysterium Tremendum in April of 2012. He debuted these new songs in the summer of 2011 with the Mickey Hart Band, which features such seasoned musicians as Tim Hockenberry, Greg Ellis, and Widespread Panic bassist Dave Schools.
