Fans of M83’s latest album will enjoy Memoryhouse‘s latest effort, The Slideshow Effect, set to be released on February 28, 2012 on SubPop. With the duo’s trademark approach of adding visual elements to their music, it’s interesting that the dazed, reverb-heavy songs sound like could be straight out of a John Hughes movie.

Memoryhouse will be playing at The Mill in Iowa City on March 1st at 10 PM. The duo will also be in the KRUI studios for a live in-studio on March 2nd at noon. Be sure to tune in!
