Since the turn of the millennium sports have taken on a whole new look. Rules have changed, superstars have become larger than ever, our favorite players are now owners and fantasy sports are nearly trumping the importance of reality. For the past three years, I’ve had the privilege of traveling west to the Martian land of Arizona to attend Spring Training for my beloved Chicago Cubs. No matter the final standings from 2012, Spring Training is a magical time for every team. The season has finally gotten to the half way point and it has been nicer to some teams more than others. There have been a lot of ups and downs this season half way through, but there are some teams that have not gotten it done. These four teams make my list of teams that desperately need a change of pace in the second half. 1. Los Angeles Lakers Alright, I will say this topic has been beat over the head well after it died, but that does not change the fact that the struggling Lakers have a great deal to improve … Continued

The Lakers were worried about how the season started because this was one of the worst starts in Lakers history. But the real question is why. Why did the Lakers fire their head coach? The Lakers’ slow start this season is understandable. Coming into the season, the team lost a few key players from last year, and they brought in a lot of new faces. … Continued
