Freshman guard Pat Ingram has announced that he will transfer from the University of Iowa in a statement released by the Iowa Athletic Department on Tuesday. “Patrick is a tremendous person who was an integral part of our program last season,” said McCaffery in the release. “Patrick indicated that he wants to be closer to home and we have granted his request. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.” This doesn’t come as a surprise for a player that saw good minutes at the beginning of the year, but they slowly declined after the non-conference portion until … Continued

1.Orlando – Nerlens Noel, C Kentucky: No surprise here, he’s going first regardless of who gets the pick. Elite shot blocking and defense make him the No. 1 overall despite the injury. 2.Charlotte– Ben McLemore G, Kansas: The Bobcats need to score and McLemore can be that guy alongside Kemba and MKG. 3.Cleveland-Shabazz Muhammad G, UCLA: A partner for Kyrie Irving, he didn’t mature quite as well as I thought, but this class is weak and that is good enough for him to go third. 4.Phoenix-Victor Oladipo, SG Indiana – The Suns played little to no defense this year and … Continued

On Sunday we posted our thoughts about the Iowa spring game. The offense won the contest 61-37. Here are the unofficial stats from the game. Stats MVP: Cody Sokol 15-20,185 yds 1TD We wrote before that Sokol was actually the third best quarterback, but by stats you can see he completed 75% of his throws, for the most yards of any of the three and one of two touchdowns through the air on the day. This race probably is still a three horse race heading into August. Stats anti-MVP: Damon Bullock, 9 att 0 yds, 1 catch, -2 yds It … Continued

The Iowa offense looked explosive at points, and they finished on a high note, outscoring the Iowa defense 61-37. The offense rotated through three groups of offense after each possession and each performed on a high level, although the group led by C.J. Beathard scored two of the three touchdowns scored on the day. The defense looked like a typical Iowa defense, with strong offensive line play and disciplined linebackers. The Iowa linebackers should be the strongest unit on the defense and showed that today with solid play from Christian Kirksey and Nico Law. Who impressed: RB Jordan Canzeri was … Continued

The biggest doubt people had of the Knicks coming into the season was how well they would fare down the stretch. Especially since they’re the oldest team in NBA history. The Knicks have now won a dozen in a row, collecting some pretty impressive wins along the way by beating Miami, Oklahoma City, Memphis and Boston twice, all high-quality playoff teams. They’re pretty much locked into the two seed and a first round matchup against Boston, Milwaukee or Atlanta. Three teams that have underachieved so far. So what’s the biggest key to their success? You can look all over the … Continued
