Iowa running back Greg Garmon is transferring, according to multiple reports.
Garmon was the primary backup for starter Mark Weisman this past season as a freshman. He rushed for 122 yards. The Erie, Penn., native was a highly-touted recruit heading into his collegiate career.
Garmon reportedly met with head coach Kirk Ferentz and running backs coach Lester Erb on Wednesday afternoon to confirm his decision to end his Hawkeye career.
Eight Iowa running backs have now transferred or been dismissed since 2010: Brandon Wegher, Adam Robinson, Jewel Hampton, Jeff Brinson, Marcus Coker, Mik’ail McCall, De’Andre Johnson, and Garmon.
