On Campus:

Saturday, Sunday Softball at home. The Iowa Hawkeye softball team welcomes a Big Ten opponent to Pearl Field for the first time this season as Michighan State comes to Iowa City.  Iowa is off to a 2-2 start in the Big Ten, and MSU is 2-4; although both teams are above .500 in overall record.  Saturday’s game is scheduled to start at 2:00 pm, while Sunday’s game is bumped up to 1:00.

Off Campus:

Track and Field travels up Highway 1.  If you can make it to Mt. Vernon this weekend, you can check out some of the Iowa Hawkeye track and field team competing at the Cornell Open on Saturday.  The event is scheduled for all day, so you can either catch a snippet, or swing in from morning to afternoon.

First place hockey showdown in Cedar Rapids. Friday night in the Stable, the CR RoughRiders host the Dubuque Fighting Saints in a matchup between two first place teams.  Cedar Rapids leads the USHL Eastern Conference while Dubuque carries the west.  The game starts at 7:00 and could very well be a preview of the Clark Cup Championship.

Watch and Listen:

A tradition unlike any other. For some people spring doesn’t officially arrive until the Masters Tournament from Augusta, the premier golf tournament of the year. With Tiger looking to rebound, Lefty swinging to repeat, and a wealth of contenders hoping to shoulder the green jacket, this year’s classic golf event will have plenty of stories to follow.

Yanks and Sox on Saturday. The Red Sox are of to a pitiful start, but this rivalry is always watchable.  At 2:00 central time the historic rivalry continues for another game from Fenway Park in Boston.  You can find the afternoon game on FOX with Joe Buck and Tim McCarver giving the call.

Hawkeye Baseball Club on the air. KRUI will be broadcasting the 1:00 game between the Hawkeye Baseball Club as they take on the St. Louis Billikens in Veteran’s Memorial Stadium.  The show starts at 12:50 as Ryan Murphy, Lars Headington and Mike Rabon bring you the game.  We will also be featuring guests from both teams, so be sure to tune into 89.7 KRUI for all the action.
